PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epock-making kitchen knife with characteristics which has been never seen before wherein the kitchen knife can be stably mounted and held so as to keep a blade plate 1 under a vertically standing condition by a simple structure and there exists no possibility of rotating and changing the direction of the kitchen knife as before and it can be orderly and in good style mounted and, when the kitchen knife is used again by holding it, is easily held. SOLUTION: A kitchen knife wherein a mount supporting part 3 which mounts and holds the blade plate 1 under a vertically standing condition is projected on a grip part 2 provided on the above described blade plate 1 is provided.
