PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellular thin-wall food container which is free from sink and burrs, has reduced Metsuke (weight), is produced in high productivity, and can save energy and resources. SOLUTION: When the container is molded with the use of an injection molding machine, the interval between the cavity and core of a mold main body part is kept 1.0 mm or below, and a molten thermoplastic resin containing a blowing gas is packed at a high speed so that the temperature of the resin in the mold is increased above the temperature of a cylinder.
