PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a shaft with a simple constitution as coarse/fine mixed coiling by coarsely coiling a part of a multiple coil, excellent in flexibility in a bending direction and capable of smoothly conducting rotation transmission under light load as a flexible shaft, etc. SOLUTION: Five wires each having the same diameter are used, among five wires, four wires 30a-30d are a metal wire to constitute a coil, the remaining one wire 30x is a dummy wire not constituting a shaft, these five wires are arranged without clearance in a band shape and are coiled around a core material 3 to form a multiple coiled helical tube, and then by releasing restriction for the helical tube, the dummy wire 30x of a super elastic steel is returned to a straight shape and is fallen off from a coil shaft for thinning out, a coarsely coiled part is partially formed, the other remains in a fine coiled part, further, the coarsely coiled part is formed roughly uniform over a whole length of the coil shaft, thus, the coarse/fine mixed coiled coil is manufactured. |
