PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer gal composition having low hardness, high loss and low creeping tendency and provide a method for the production of the composition. SOLUTION: The objective branched copolymer gel composition contains a polyalkylene graft (disubstituted ethylene-alkylmaleimide copolymer) containing a copolymer of ethylene and an alkyl maleimide having R1 and R2 groups on the side chain (R1 and R2 are the same as or different from each other and a 1-20C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted aryl) as the main chain and an extender. The gel composition has a JIS A hardness of 0-40 deg., a compression set of <=60% at 100 deg.C after 22 hours and a loss coefficient (tanδ) of 0.3-0.8 at 20 deg.C, 5% strain and 10 Hz.
