A combined roughing and cementing machine includes a three position rotary table (12) supporting three shoe clamping (14) assemblies positioned in circumferentially spaced locations for indexing movement around a vertical rotational axis (R) between a loading first position (16), a bottom roughing second position (18), and a bottom cementing third position (20). Roughing and cementing tool heads are stationarily mounted at the respective roughing and cementing locations. This arrangement allows the loading and unloading of the machine to occur independently during the roughing and cementing processes which are on-going at the second and third locations, adding no time to the production cycle. |
