PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call control method by which a call from a caller side can surely be received without imposing useless charging on the caller so as to enhance the service to the caller and to provide a private branch of exchange using the method. SOLUTION: A transfer destination management table 4 sets a plurality of transfer destinations in cross-reference with a desired call, in the case that the call, to which a plurality of the transfer destinations is set, arrives, the transfer destinations are called and the arrived call is connected to a transfer destination whose reply signal is detected within a preset time. In this case, when one destination is called among the transfer destinations and no reply signal comes from the transfer destination within a preset time or when a tone detection section 5 detects a busy tone, the call to the transfer destination is interrupted and other transfer destination among the transfer destinations is selected and newly called.
