PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data backup device for a mobile telephone set by which a user of the mobile telephone set can almost completely prevent missing of data without a backup job especially intended by the user so as to simply use the data again and that can simply cope with the failures of the telephone set or buying a new telephone set to replace the old one. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone set 10 automatically transmits data to be backed up including at least control information stored in the mobile telephone set 10 to a host station 12 in interlocking with a speech when the mobile telephone set 10 starts transmission/reception of a voice signal via a wireless signal to/from the host station 12 for the speech, and the data backup device 14 installed in the host station 12 stores the data sent from the mobile telephone set 10.
