PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed electronic watermarks which escape illicit detection, substantially prevents intentional alteration and hardly gives rise to the unintentional change of ancillary information by devising a method for embedding the ancillary information into main information. SOLUTION: The time information of a plurality of playing data in the main information is changed according to the value of the ancillary information in accordance with a prescribed encoding algorithm and the electronic watermarks of the ancillary information are embedded into the main information in the combination forms of the changing states of the time information on a plurality of the playing data. The remainder by the prescribed value of the byte data corresponding to the ancillary information is acquired and the time information in a plurality of the playing data in the main information is changed according to the value of the remainder of the ancillary information, by which the electronic watermarks are embedded into the main information in the combination forms of the changing states of the time information. Also, dummy data is added to the main information according to the prescribed encoding algorithm and the electronic watermarks meeting the dummy data are embedded into the main information. |
