A signal recording/reproducing apparatus (1) herein disclosed is provided with a microcomputer (12) and a memory (17). A series of data blocks is divided into a plurality of elemental data sets, and they are interleaved and stored in the memory (17). In a built-in memory of the microprocessor (12), a table and a function for deriving the address data that represents the addresses to which the elemental data sets are to be stored are stored in a memory area sufficiently apart from each other in the address space.
