The brake has a brake housing for a caliper with at least one movable brake piston that presses a friction coating against a brake disc during braking. At least one electrical conductor for detecting wear in the friction coating is connected to it. The brake housing has a channel with holding devices that at least partly cross the channel and are at a defined distance apart along the channel and arranged alternately on either side of the channel. The brake has a brake housing containing a caliper with at least one movable brake piston that presses a friction coating against a brake disc when braking is taking place, whereby at least one electrical conductor (8) for detecting wear in the friction coating is connected to it. The brake housing has a channel (9) with at least two holding devices (10,11) that at least partly cross the channel and are at a defined distance apart along the channel and arranged alternately on either side of the channel.
