PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for navigation allowing its user to concentrate on driving by enabling the user to judge in a moment the identity of a facility displayed on a map with an actual facility and to check the present position quickly, and to provide a storage medium stored with software for navigation. SOLUTION: This system has a present position computing part 40 for computing a present position, a destination specifying part 42 for specifying a destination, a route computing part 43 for computing a route leading from the present position to the destination, a display part 10 for displaying the route computed by the computing part 43, a CD-ROM for storing information on facilities on the route together with information on signboards on actual facilities, a display control part 46 for causing the display part 10 to display signboards attached to facilities when the facilities displayed by the display part 10 have information on the signboards. |
