PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container aligning device capable of surely supplying containers (drums) carried to an incinerator for incinerating and burning waste one by one to the incinerator regardless of the size and a shape. SOLUTION: On a conveyor for continuously carrying the containers such as the drums different in a shape and the size by contacting with each other, the contacted containers are arranged in a central area of the conveyor by using a mechanical container aligning device to secure an interval between the individual containers. Such a container aligning device may be a roller mechanism arranged in a zigzag shape on both sides of the conveyor, or may be a gate unit arranged in a prescribed place. The containers on the conveyor are monitored by a camera. The interval between containers is judged by processing a minitoring image, and the contacted drums can be separated by operating a separating mechanism composed of a gate mechanism according to this judging result.
