PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device capable of performing light steering operation in a low car speed region and obtaining stability of a steering system in a high car speed region even in case of failure of a car speed sensor. SOLUTION: This motor-driven power steering device is provided with a reference torque signal setting part 21 for generating a reference torque signal DT increased at least according to a detection signal T of a steering torque sensor TS, a correction torque signal setting part 22 for generating a correction torque signal (DN*RT*RV) at least according to detection signals of a motor rotating speed sensor NS and a car speed sensor VS, and target torque signal computing parts 23 and 24 for damping the correction torque signal (DN*RT*RV) from the reference torque signal DT. The device is further provided with an engine rotating speed sensor NES and a car speed 0 detecting part 22E. On detecting the car speed 0, the correction torque signal (DN*RT*RV) is increased according to a detction signal Ne from the engine rotating speed sensor NES. |
