PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel wire with a surface pattern for enhancement of friction used for exposing at the outdoor of a member for building, a for levee, a fishing net, a fence, etc., and a manufacturing equipments with a surface pattern working device of the galvanized steel wire. SOLUTION: The galvanized steel wire having a pattern on the surface for the enhanced friction and the apparatus for manufacturing a hot dip metal coated steel wire, the apparatus for manufacturing the galvanized steel wire are provided. The apparatus consists consist of a continuous coating bath for melting the coating alloy and holding to a temperature prescribed, a wire carrying device for passing the steel wire through the coating bath, an air insulating device for preventing the oxidation of the coated surface, a cooling device a surface working device for giving the pattern on the surface of the coated steel wire, and a coiling device for coiling the steel wire.
