PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the tension of a bicycle chain. SOLUTION: This chain adjusting bolt 1 is provided with a body 3 of approximately U-shape having a pair of arm parts 2, 2a for inserting a rear wheel axle BS through as well as holding a fork end FE. Between the arm parts 2, 2a of the body 3, a feed screw rod 5 with a base end 5b rotatably supported on the arm part connecting part 3a side of the body 3 is provided extending over the axial direction of the body 3, and the arm part connecting part 3a of the body 3 is provided with a rotatory operating part 11 of the feed screw rod 5. A fork end presser member 4 disposed to extend on the projecting ends of claws T and T1 of the fork end FE is screw-fastened to the feed screw rod 5.
