PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small-sized vehicle which can be easily driven with a good fuel economy and low emission gas amount by constructing a mechanical automatic transmission used together with a belt type continuously variable transmission not from a large and heavy transmission such as a planetary gear type automatic transmission using a lot of gears or an automatic transmission using a hydraulic control system. SOLUTION: This device is a power transmission device connecting a mechanical automatic transmission 44, an engine 41 and a belt type continuously variable transmission 43 and transmitting output of the mechanical automatic transmission 44 to a differential mechanism 45 and driving a left and a right drive wheel 2. The mechanical automatic transmission 44 is an automatic transmission having a low speed gear 65b and a high speed gear 65a transmitting the output to the differential mechanism 45 and a centrifugal shifting clutch 64 connecting when an output revolution speed of the belt type continuously variable transmission rises, and selecting two speeds of the low speed gear 65b and the high speed gear 65a by connection and disconnection of the centrifugal shifting clutch 64, and has a small-sized and lightweight structure.
