PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data transmission system where an individual wearable network which directly radio-connects information terminals is constituted and the individual network can substantially be connected to the Internet through a portable telephone and the like. SOLUTION: A watch-type electronic still camera 1100 picks up an object image and transmits the image data to an adapter 1200 and a portable telephone terminal 8 by infrared rays. The adapter 1200 receives image data transmitted from the electronic still camera and up-loads it on a server 904 on the Internet 903. The portable telephone terminal 8 receives image data transmitted from the electronic still camera 1100 and down-loads image data stored in the server 904 on the Internet 903.
