摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an insufficient chemical formation in a manufacturing method of sealed type lead-acid battery wherein an electrolyzer is chemically formed in a state that a synthetic rubber-made safety valve is being mounted and a side face of the electrolyzer is swollen due to an elevation of inner pressure by gas generation in a chemical formation of the electrolyzer, and wherein an upper part of electrode plate group is exposed in a gas phase to cause the insufficient chemical formation at a part where a supply of the electrolytic solution is less in an early stage of chemical formation of the electrolyzer, because a liquid level of an electrolytic solution is lowered. SOLUTION: As the safety valve used in the chemical formation of the electrolyzer, the one having a lower valve-opening pressure than that to be used in an actual use as the safety valve. By opening in the lower pressure, the inner pressure elevation in the chemical formation of electrolyzer is suppressed and the reduction of liquid level of the electrolytic solution can be suppressed. By this, a sufficient electrolytic solution is supplied to the electrode plate group, and the sealed type lead-acid battery having a sufficient early stage capacity can be provided.</p>
