PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope unit and its system where a digital video signal with more excellent image quality can be displayed on a monitor. SOLUTION: A process circuit 11 and a timing circuit 12 in a processor 10 process an image signal read from an image pickup element 41 in a scope 40 and convert the image signal into digital R, G, B image signals. Then a video process circuit 13 outputs multiplexed R, G, B digital component video signals on the basis of the digital R, G, B image signals to a video decoder 25. The video decoder 25 converts the digital R, G, B image signals into analog R, G, B component video signals and outputs the converted video signals to the monitor 24.
