PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic lens excellent in transferability even in a thin part and capable of ensuring good optical performance even when used in a short-wavelength laser optical system. SOLUTION: The convex plastic lens having <=0.7 minimum thickness for an optical pickup device for recording and/or reproducing information in an/or from an optical information recording medium with laser beam in the wavelength range of 350-450 nm is obtained by injection molding using a vinyl alicyclic hydrocarbon resin.
