Method for assembly of window and door frames using corner pieces to pull the frame sections together

A method for assembling door and window frames has angled corner pieces (28) inserted into the adjacent frame sections and secured in such a way as to pull the frame sections together. The edges of the corner pieces have profiles which grip into the edges of the frame sections via plastic formed grip points. The plastic deformation, or crimping, can be applied to either the edges of the frame profiles on to the corner pieces themselves. The frame sections are held together under tension to provide a waterproof joint.
