The present invention relates to a method and a membrane for regulating albedo in an upper layer of a solid surface on the earth in order to influence thermal and biological factors such as surface temperature and cultivation properties. To the surface a liquid is applied which sets to form a biodegradable membrane, and the membrane's content of light-reflecting and/or light-absorbing particles/pigments is adjusted on the basis of the maximum energy radiation which is conveyed to an upper layer of a solid surface on the earth based on measurements of the local conditions. |
