PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter for preventing a continuous diletion of a balloon film along a blood vessel, i.e., an axial direction of a catheter tube even when the film is dilated to become a state in which the film is closely contacted with an inner wall of the vessel and to provide a balloon catheter for suppressing an outer diameter of a part provided with the balloon film to a small value before being inserted into the vessel. SOLUTION: One end of the balloon film 14 is fixed to a distal end of the catheter tube 2, and the other end of the film 14 is fixed to a leading end of a central tube 7 projected from the leading end of the tube 2. Here, a shape of the film 14 is a cylindrical shape. A thickness of the central part is about 70 to 90 μm at a side of the cylindrical shape of the film 14, and a thickness of the other part is about 130 to 150 μm of the same as that of the end face of the cylindrical shape of the film 14. |
