PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a printing plate by which it is manufactured of a plate material which deals with digital image data and is capable of printing a large number of printed matters showing an ultra- sharp image at a low cost and rapidly as well as a device for manufacturing a printing plate. SOLUTION: This device 1 for manufacturing the printing plate includes an ink jet image drawing device 2 which forms an image on the surface of a drum 14 by discharging an oily ink from a discharge head using an electrostatic field, based on an image data signal and a heating roller 15 for obtaining the plate material by contact-transferring the image formed on the surface of the drum 14 to the plate material.
