PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening separation unit in a threshing machine that can retain the screening accuracy to a variety of the treated products. SOLUTION: This screening separation unit is equipped with the opening/ closing device for adjusting the filtration flow of the chaff sieve 31 for sieving the grain mixtures threshed in the drum toward downstream, the guide rail 52 that opens or closes according to the amount of the rice plant stem introduced on the side of the thresher 1 and the connector that links the guide rail 52 to the side of the opening/closing device in order to change the opening degree of the chaff sieve 31 according to the opening degree of the guide rail 52 and the range adjuster for adjusting the opening degree of the chaff sieve is set to the opening/closing device.
