PURPOSE: A method for providing financial information using the Internet and a system therefor are provided to enable a user to receive one's changed account information conveniently in real time without inquiring a web site of a financial institution. CONSTITUTION: Changed contents of a user's account are obtained whenever a change is generated from server systems of each financial institution corresponded to account related information using the account related information out of user's member information in a server system of a financial information business man(S10). It is detected whether a user client system is connected to a messenger server in the server system of a financial information business man(S20). The obtained account changed contents are transmitted to a messenger program in the user client system being connected to the messenger server, thus the user may receive the changed contents generated in one's account in real time(S30-S50).
