PURPOSE: An apparatus that is capable of operating in a ship to return a vapor of a natural gas to a liquid is provided. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus used in a ship to return a compressed vapor to the liquid adopts a preassembly of constituting elements. A working fluid is compressed in at least one compressor(22, 24 or 26), cooled in a first heat exchanger(40), expanded in a turbine(28), and heated in a second heat exchanger(46). The compressed vapor in the second heat exchanger is reliquefied in a closed cycle for at least partly condensing the compressed vapor in the second heat exchanger. This apparatus comprises a first preassembly(72) having the exchanger(40), a second preassembly(82) having the exchanger(46), the compressors(22, 24, 26) and the expansion turbine. In this case, the preassemblies(72, 82) are respectively disposed on plat forms(70, 80). |
