PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain size and cost reduction in a DC current detecting circuit for rectifying equipment which consists of a transformer with phasing winding and a thyristor rectifier and supplies desired DC current to a load. SOLUTION: On the secondary side of a main circuit CT1, there are provided a resistor circuit 8, a vector arithmetic means 9, and rectifying circuits 4, 5. The vector arithmetic means 9 conducts vector arithmetic operation based on voltages across respective resistors forming the resistor circuit 8, thus it is possible to derive a current equivalent to line current on the secondary side of the transformer 2 with phasing winding by means of the vector arithmetic operation.
