PURPOSE: An adhesive tape for securing brown tube is provided to reduce thickness of tape, adhesive layer, in turn application numbers of the adhesive and drying time while maintaining strength of tape by using thin glass fiber net cloth as its principal material. CONSTITUTION: The adhesive tape comprises a glass fiber net cloth(1) applied with thermal plastic resin compatible with polyethylene resin; a polyethylene resin coating layer(3) on surface at one side and an adhesive layer(6) at the other side of the net cloth. The net cloth has a thickness less than original thickness by 10-25% by compressing it with a heating roller, particularly about 150-180 micrometer. The thermal plastic resin is produced by dissolving 100 weight parts of styrene-isoprene-styrene resin and 20 weight parts of petroleum resin in 380 weight parts of a mixed solvent comprising 200 weight parts of hexane and 180 weight parts of toluene. The glass fiber net cloth is immersed into the resin solution for about 30 seconds then dried in a drying chamber at 80-100 deg.C.
