The invention relates to a drum scanner (2), comprising a mounting and rotating device (10, 12, 14) for an interchangeable copy cylinder (16) and a magazine store (4) with <i>n</i> magazine places (38). The <i>n</i> magazine places and the mounting and rotating device (10, 12, 14) are arranged at regular intervals around a cylinder transport carousel (24) with <i>n</i>+<i>1</i> brackets (32), which form a star around the <i>n</i> magazine places and the mounting and rotating device. The cylinder transport carousel (24) is set up to lift copy cylinders together with the brackets, to move them around a circle and to replace them in a desired position. Each magazine place contains a circular antenna (62), the axis of which coincides with the longitudinal axis of a copy cylinder on the magazine place and each copy cylinder contains a transponder (58) on the underside thereof, in which an electronic identification is stored which may be read and rewritten by means of the above antenna. |
