An electrically controlled trap (1) for catching animals live. The trap (1) comprises an animal containment compartment (2) having an opening at each end (7,8). Upon entry of a target animal through either end (7,8), an electronic motion and heat detection sensor (22) triggers a battery powered (21) solenoid (12), which activates the hinged or pivoted, closing means (31) at ends (7,8) to trap the animal in the containment compartment (2). A radio signal is sent to a receiving station providing information that an animal has been trapped. |
