Production of a flexible, flat filter comprises printing an air-permeable substrate, preferably a textile, with a dispersion of a thermoplastic. Water is then evaporated off and, optionally after further heating, hot sorbents are scattered over it. Excess sorbent is removed and a cover layer applied . The whole article is then passed through a hot laminating machine.
