The airport safety system uses sensors extending along the full length of each take-off and landing runway and the taxiing paths at relative spacings of 20 m and 10 m, respectively, activated by passage of an aircraft, a vehicle, a person or an object, for activation of an illuminated/light character warning displays. The sensors can be connected in groups or sectors, with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, optical, electrooptical,IR, microwave, or radar operation. An Independent claim for a computer-aided control device for controlling movement of aircraft, vehicles, persons and objects within an airport is also included.
