PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detection sensor for improved reliability in water-proof and contact of a pair of terminals even under a severe environment. SOLUTION: A rotation detection sensor 10 is provided with a rotation detection element 14 assembled to a sensor main body 11 through a pair of terminals 12 and 12, and housed in a case 15. Here, each base end 12a of the pair of terminals 12 and 12 is protruded outside the upper end of a hood 11c. The entire circumference of each base 12a is coated with each resin coating part 11f protruded from a bottom surface 11d of the hood 11c up to a position facing the upper end of the hood 11c. A core wire 17a of each lead wire 17 is connected to the base end 12a of each terminal 12 exposed from each resin coating part 11f. Each base end 12a and each core wire 17a are covered with a flexible water-proof cap 18 which penetrates each lead wire 12 and engages with the food 11c while press-engaged with each resin coating part 11f through a hole-like rubber plug 18d.
