PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gatepost having a flat vertical plate shape and easy to assemble. SOLUTION: In this gatepost, a flat rectangular plate-like gatepost body 1 having a middle hollow part 12 is formed by connecting the connecting plate 32 of a one-side body 20 of aluminum extruded shape having a surface plate 21 and reverse plate 22 integrally provided on the inside surface 10c of a rectangular one-side hollow part 10 and the connecting plate 23 integrally provided on the surface plate 21 to the connecting part 33 of an other-side body 30 of aluminum extruded shape having a surface plate 31 and reverse plate 33 integrally provided on the inside surface 12c of a rectangular other hollow part 12 and the connecting plate 33 integrally provided on the reverse plate 32. A light, a nameplate, an interphone, a mailbox and the like are mounted on the middle hollow part 11 of the gatepost body 1, and a surface panel 14 and a reverse panel 15 are also adhered thereto to, whereby the gatepost is formed. According to this, a flat vertical plate-like gatepost can be easily assembled by connecting the one-side body 20 to the other-side body 30 and mounting the light, nameplate, interphone, mailbox and the like.
