PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruded foamed body used suitably for underfloor thermal insulation. SOLUTION: The extruded foamed body prepared by melt-kneading a mixture comprising a thermoplastic resin and a blowing agent and then extruding the kneaded mixture into a low-pressure area, has a thermal conductivity at an average temperature of 20 deg.C of 0.040 W/m.K (0.034 kcal/m.h. deg.C) or less and the deformation after heating at 110 deg.C for 24 hrs of 3% or less, and is substantially not dissolved in xylene at 23 deg.C.
