PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard rail, by which monotonousness and coldness in appearance of the guard rail made of a synthetic resin for a building are solved and which has warmth peculiar to a woody section and a feeling of a high grade and the mounting works of which are facilitated. SOLUTION: The guard rail 1 for the building is composed of a supporting rail 2 having a large number of projecting strips 5 on an abutting surface with a wall surface 20 and having flanges 8 having hook sections 7 at front end sections at an upper edge and a lower edge, a guard rail body 3 formed of the glued laminated timber of a wooden board material and an interior-finish rail 4 with projecting sections 13 capable of being fitted and installed to the supporting rail 2 and engaging hooks 12. The housing space 14 of the interior- finish rail 4 is formed on the rear side of the guard rail body 3 while inserting grooves 15 and 16 are formed to the upper and lower sections of the housing space 14, the interior-finish rail 4 is bonded and fixed to the base of the housing space 14 under the state, in which the upper and lower space sections 10 and 11 of the interior-finish rail 4 are positioned in the upper-lower inserting grooves 15 and 16 respectively, and the interior-finish rail 4 is fitted to the supporting rail 2 fixed onto the wall surface.
