PURPOSE:To obtain a high-strength film of improved adhesiveness by longitudinally restretching a biaxially stretched polyester film on which a coating layer having elongated protrusions made of a resin for forming protrusions is formed. CONSTITUTION:A laminated polyester film obtained by longitudinally restretching a biaxially stretched film having a coating layer, wherein the coating layer has elongated protrusions made of a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin. Examples of the resin which forms the elongated protrusions include cellulose, gelatin, polyacrylic acid, its salt, polystyrenesulfonic acid and its salt. Although the resin which forms the elongated protrusions may be applied alone, it is desirably used in combination with a resin binder of excellent adhesiveness. As the resin binder, a polyester resin is most desirable. |
