PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable compact integration of a seedling taking part such as a rotary case, claw case and seedling taking claw into the body of a vegetable transplanter for taking the seedling from a seedling holding bed with the seedling taking claw attached to the rotary case through the claw case. SOLUTION: The transplanter is provided with a transplanting part 16 to take two seedling stocks N from the seedling holding bed 21 for each rotation of the rotary case 34 with two seedling taking claws 23 attached to both ends of the rotary case 34 and to perform the transplantation of the seedlings. The driving force inputting part 82 is placed at a side of the rotary case 34 and the seedling taking claw 23 is placed at the other side of the rotary case interposing the claw case 36. A claw guide 77 to restrict the seedling taking posture of the seedling taking claw 23 is placed in the gap between the claw case 36 and the seedling taking claw 23.
