PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of reading out data stably when a tracking flowing is generated. SOLUTION: When a tracking servo is lost, data are read out stably by detecting that the tracking servo is lost and by adaptively controlling the reproducing speed of an optical disk from a signal processing circuit in accordance with a place where the tracking servo is lost and the number of tracks which are traversed.
