PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying component parts and a device for drying component parts in which liquid repelling and drying of cleaned items can be carried out rapidly while both corrosion and discoloration of the cleaned items are being prevented. SOLUTION: There is provided a drying device for drying component parts comprising a storing member 54 for supporting a container cylinder 52 in it; an air blowing means 10 for blowing air into the container cylinder 52 through a first flow passage 12 connected to the storing member 54, wherein the air blowing means 10 comprises a first valve V10 arranged at the first flow passage 12, a second flow passage 18 bypassing the first valve V10, and a heating means 20 arranged at the second flow passage 18. Air of normal temperature not passed through the heating means 10 is supplied to perform a sufficient removal of liquid droplets adhered to the cleaned items (a), thereafter the air heated by the heating means 20 is supplied to the container cylinder 52.
