PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key matrix device, capable of detecting the depression of much more key switches than in conventionally, using the same number of terminals by adding a simple hardware circuit. SOLUTION: When a pulse signal is inputted from one line, signals corresponding to a key state are outputted from all the other lines, and while the pulse signal input and output are switched successively, the key state is scanned in each line so that the depression of key switches K00-K55 can be detected.
