PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus for a liquid crystal panel, having defect-detecting function with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The inspecting device 100 for the liquid crystal panel is equipped with a light source device 40, a liquid crystal panel placing plate 72 to horizontally hold the liquid crystal panel 200, a pair of polarizing plates 45, 46 arranged so as to hold the liquid crystal panel in between and a projection means 50 projecting light from the light source device 40, which passes through the liquid crystal panel 200 and the pair of polarizing plates 45, 46. Furthermore, a mechanism capable of arbitrarily setting the angle between the respective axes of polarization of the polarizing plates 45, 46 is provided. Thereby detection of foreign matter, such as dust mixed inside the liquid crystal panel, is facilitated. |
