PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with a high mechanical strength which secures a smooth insertion of a terminal into a terminal container and prevents the terminal from coming off from the container. SOLUTION: The connector is provided with a terminal 1 for the connector and a terminal container 3 for accepting the terminal 1 for the connector inserted from the direction of a mating connector 2 inserted and connected. Also provided are a first housing 4 having a terminal insertion hole 14 for fitting in a combining part 11 into the terminal container 3 and a connector insertion hole 5 to have the mating connector 2 inserted and fitted in, as well as a second housing 7 fixed to the first housing 4 via a hinge 6 to the side of the terminal container for possible incorporation. In case the second housing 7 is incorporated with the first housing 4, a terminal pressing member 21 for pressing down the combining part 11 of the connector terminal 1 inserted in the terminal insertion hole 14 at an outside face of the second housing 7. |
