A wrist rest (10) for use with a computer mouse (200) includes a base (16) adapted to rest upon a flat surface, said base having a flat upper surface adapted to support a computer mouse. A right rest (14) is positioned at a right side of the base and has a second upper surface upwardly spaced from the first upper surface. A corresponding left rest (12) is positioned at a left side of the base. The right rest and left rest define a recess therebetween of which a bottom surface is formed by the first upper surface.
