<p>In a transmitter (100), a spreader (103) spreads message data. A band-limiting filter (104) limits the band of spread message data so that it can be superposed on a guard frequency band. An adder (105) combines the output signal from the filter (104) with the inverse Fourier transform of the data to be transmitted. A modulator (106) modulates the signal before transmission. In a receiver (150), a receiving filter (154) passes only the signals in the guard frequency band. A demodulator (155) demodulates the filtered signals. The demodulated signal is despread by a despreader (156) and received by a RAKE receiver (157) that in turn provides the message data. Thus, efficient use of frequencies is achieved using a guard frequency band effectively.</p> |
