PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply form a preset distance of a gap between the inner face of a side guide 40 and one side edge of a paper sheet P for preventing unnecessary carrying resistance to the side edge of the paper sheet P stacked on a feeder cassette. SOLUTION: A picker 41 is arranged outside the side guide 40 to be moved along a bottom plate 4a of the sheet feeder cassette, connected thereto via an elastically deformable continued portion 51 and a spacer member 52 is provided on the picker 41. When the picker 41 picked by fingers is moved close to the side guide 40. An abutting face 52a of the spacer member 52 is protruded by a preset distance (e) to abut on one side edge of the paper sheet P along the inner face (a guide portion 50) of the side guide 40. Then, a preset distance (e) of gap can be formed between the surface of the guide portion 50 of the side guide 40 and one side edge of the paper sheet P with simple operation of setting the picker 41 off.
