PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky picking machine capable of overcoming such a defect caused by conventional machines that an operator is charged with heavy loads in operations, such as operating the machine and exchanging tea bags, because the conventional machines have each a driver's seat in a high position, capable of solving a problem that the operator can not confirm a situation of the picking operation while driving the machine, and further, capable of overcoming defects, such as the highly located center of gravity, unstableness and expensiveness, which are caused by complicated mechanism of the conventional machines. SOLUTION: In this sulky picking machine for picking the tea leaves, the operators seat is made to be lowered by positioning it on one of running mechanisms and is located at the back of picking blades, so that the operator can visually confirm the situation of the tea-picking operation directly, perform the best picking operation, and easily conduct the bag-exchanging operation. A drive shaft for driving the running mechanisms placed on both the sides of the machine is located at the forefront or the aftermost position of the machine, so that workability of the machine is not deteriorated, and further, fittings such as a hydraulic system and an electric generator are not required.
