PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet color recorder in which a good image can be formed by preventing solidification of ink. SOLUTION: The ink jet color recorder includes a step for recovering the jet function of a black nozzle 38B by recovering black ink (pigment based ink) remaining in a black nozzle 38B to a black cap 50B, and a step for supplying a color ink (dye based ink) to the black cap 50B following to the recovery step. Consequently, the pigment based ink recovered to the black cap 50B in the recovery step can be a hard to dry mixed ink and the ink adhering to the inner wall of a suction hose 66B coupled with the black cap 50B can be residue 72M of the hard to dry mixed ink. |
