PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material container allowing even a stick-like cosmetic material core with a very fine diameter to be safely used, and a cartridge of the cosmetic material container. SOLUTION: In this cartridge 2, a top cylinder 10 and a base 20 are rotatably connected to each other, and a push rod 30 provided with a cosmetic material holding part 33 formed by a claw piece 31 at the tip is inserted in the cartridge 2. Plural sliding grooves 12 are formed in a through hole 13 of the top cylinder 10, and with the claw piece 31 at the tip of the push rod 30 positioned in the sliding groove 12, a projection 35 at the lower part of the claw piece is continuously always engaged with the sliding groove 12 in the top cylinder 10, and an engaging projection 36 in the outer peripheral surface of the projection 35 is screw-engaged with a spiral groove 21 in a spiral cylindrical part 22 at the front part of the base 20. A plate spring 5 is provided in a container body 50 and the base 20 of the stored cartridge 2 is rotated in synchronization with the container body 50 by the plate spring 5.
